CARMEN MARSANS RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF “TOP 20 MARKETING PROFESSIONALS;” COMUNICAD AGENCY MAKES NEW HIRE
Washington, DC, March 22, 2016--Comunicad, LLC, Vice President of Client Services Carmen Marsans, has been named one of the “Top 20 Marketing Professionals” by Latino Leaders magazine. Comunicad, LLC is a national full-service, public relations and marketing communications agency that specializes in reaching bicultural and multicultural communities in the Hispanic/Latino market. In its March issue Latino Leaders magazine identified 20 marketing professionals and executives who recognize the value of multicultural consumers and have demonstrated a commitment to attracting these markets.
Marsans has been with Comunicad for nearly 10 years and leads some of the agency’s high profile corporate clients and national activation efforts that have resulted in award-winning campaigns. Prior to joining Comunicad, Marsans worked for FleishmanHillard as part of the team that helped implement the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. Preceding her public relations efforts at Fleishman, Marsans spent more than 20 years at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) AFL-CIO, spearheading its educational initiatives. Her efforts were instrumental to the creation of the education department for the organization’s local and national staff as well as the development of the IBEW Hispanic Outreach Program.

In addition, Comunicad is also pleased to announce a new hire, María José (MJ) Sandoval as a media relations account executive where she will assist with digital marketing objectives for national clients. Sandoval was formerly a public relations/communications specialist at the nonprofit organization CASA and led several projects as well as the overhaul of its branding and marketing efforts. Sandoval has a bachelor’s degree in advertising and communications from UNITEC, a private educational institution in Honduras.
