Ford Driving Dreams Tour

The philanthropic arm of Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services has been a long-standing client for Comunicad. We are proud to be providing Ford Fund with more than 20 years of public relations services as well as program development for community engagement and outreach that are inclusive of multicultural and mainstream community needs.

Ford Fund enlisted Comunicad for the development of a Ford-branded and Ford-owned signature program, one which would allow them to play a role in fulfilling a major need in the community. Education was a natural fit. Within education, we focused on addressing the elevated high school drop-out rate in the Latino community. Given this group’s significant growth, their educational attainment and advancement is crucial to the development of this country. The Ford Driving Dreams Tour provides scholarships, motivational student assemblies, leadership and academic support, and an innovative contest to motivate students to graduate from high school on time and enroll in college.

Due to its success, the Tour has been expanded and has visited 15 high schools in Irving and Dallas / Fort Worth, TX, and Miami, FL. It is scheduled to visit additional high schools for the 2014-2015 school year.

  • Reached nearly 25,000 students.
  • Included an online contest that generated close to 5,000 unique votes and nearly 25,000 visits to the contest website.
