Maria del Carmen is responsible for the development and execution of Comunicad's successful advertising and marketing campaigns. She has over 30 years of experience the communications industry in Puerto Rico and the US Hispanic market.
What would you say is one of your finest moments, something you're very proud of?
Receiving a standing ovation from a group of 500 students after they watched Lucia & Ignacio, my first Educational Feature Film production.
What has been one of your most embarrassing moments in this business?
Presenting an advertising campaign for the launch of a lingerie line to a Board of Directors consisting of all men, plus the CEO's two "lovely" Saint Bernard's dogs.
What do you like about working at Comunicad?
The challenge of doing different things every day.
If you had to live on a deserted island, what would you miss most?
Maria Callas singing Verdi's arias; dining in Manhattan; having a glass of Prosseco Reserva in San Marcos Piazza in Venice.
What are some of your pet-peeves?
Awkwardly designed ads and graphics; having to retouch photos that are practically impossible to retouch.
She specializes in managing client services, research, marketing, media, and creative advertising, as well as institutional and educational productions. Maria del Carmen has handled accounts for companies and organizations such as Jack Daniels, Royal Bank of Canada, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Puerto Rico, and the University of Puerto Rico, among others.
